Today, Level Up Atlanta’s Connecting the Dots event series returns to Azjio Gallery, this time featuring special guest James Supreme. An A&R rep at Universal Music Publishing Group, Supreme cut his teeth managing G-Eazy and MadeinTYO, and is currently the manager of Grammy-nominated producer Bizness Boi.

A native of New York, Supreme moved to Georgia in his earlier years, enrolling at Georgia State University for college. It was during his time there that he got his initial experience in the music industry, connecting with Drake’s management team and working a number of their shows before becoming G-Eazy’s assistant manager.

“Perception is a funny thing, because people would see me posting pictures on Instagram with Drake, backstage at these shows, doing this and that. Meanwhile, I was trying to compensate for the fact that I had no plan, no structure, and no job offer from his team,” says Supreme. “At the time, I was so determined to make it happen that I used my college refund check to buy plane tickets to his shows, just so I could build relationships with the people I felt I had to.”

Moderated by event producer and brand strategist Trevon Williams, the event will kick off at 8 p.m., featuring complimentary drinks and time for attendees to mingle. For more information about Level Up Atlanta and it’s future events, visit their website.
