If I wanted to, I could likely wait it out another couple of days and have a dozen more releases to add to the list below. Such is the current fertility in Atlanta and Athens music, where new records seem to arrive on the hour. In the case of July, the submissions continue to pour in, and while sorting through them and fishing out the details is generally a painstaking process, the reward is the small mountain of promising new music we have before us. The only real question, of course, is where to start. Usually this is the point where I start pointing out some of the highlights, but, holy shit, there’s just too much great stuff here to start throwing out one artist over another. Or maybe I’m just too tired from compiling all this information, who knows. In any case, July is STACKED. Period. If you can’t find something here — multiple things, really — to be excited about, well, then that’s on you.
