RobOlu is having a moment. Putting his finishing touches on his next project Robbin’ Season (read: Rob In Season), the Nigerian-American rapper and one of Immersive’s 22 Artists to Watch in 2018 took the stage at the Music Room on Thursday to a packed house. Performing fan favorites like “Switchituh!” and “419,” he transitioned smoothly into an unreleased cut called “Sade.” Closing the set out with another mosh-worthy banger, RobOlu made a strong statement in a brief amount of time, stoking anticipation about his forthcoming record in the Edgewood district and beyond.
