For his first release of 2018, “Can’t You Tell” finds Atlanta artist Keenon Rush thinking outside of the box and sounding confident with his flow. The song’s producer, DJ Mike Nasty, tells Immersive the “session was built upon pure relaxation… Keenon pulled up to my crib in Brooklyn sometime in the afternoon and walked away with 2-3 solid records that day. As I cooked up the beats, I multi-tasked between making a pizza and watching Family Guy. The best sessions come with no time restraints or outside distractions.”

For his part, Keenon adds that he and the prominent New York DJ have “hella mutual connections, so it was only a matter of time before we collabed on something dope. It’s kind of funny because I was talking about the L train in Brooklyn while he was cooking up the record. One thing led to another and the hook is what you are hearing today.”

“Can’t You Tell” is out today and available via most major online retailers. Listen below.

Keenon Rush will perform on Mon., Mar. 5 at the Masquerade alongside $teve Cannon, Ray Casper, and BrownPaperBag. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is $12. All Ages.
