Since its inaugural event in 2005, the A3C Festival & Conference has been one of the most vital and influential gatherings in hip-hop. Bringing together thousands of artists, entrepreneurs, innovators, and influencers, A3C is far more than an entertainment spectacle and a place to witness the next wave of artists on the rise. It’s an opportunity for aspiring producers and MCs to connect with their peers and to educate themselves about the latest trends and happenings in the music industry through the conference’s expertly curated panels and sessions.

For this year’s event, Immersive Atlanta partnered with TuneCore, one of the leading names in independent music. Since 2006, TuneCore has helped indie artists of all genres sell their music on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, and over 150 other digital services. Utilizing the platform, artists, producers, and labels can easily and quickly distribute their releases and keep 100% of their sales and streaming revenue, without having to give up any of their rights. TuneCore also offers an array of artist services, as well as publishing administration to help collect songwriter royalties and pitch for sync licensing.

Over the course of two days, we interviewed dozens of TuneCore artists, both established and emerging, about their experiences as independent producers and MCs. While TuneCore as a tool for success was certainly a topic of discussion, our conversations centered largely on the varying strategies, personal insights, and lessons learned along their journey. On Saturday, Oct. 12 Immersive Atlanta co-founder Luciano Giarrano moderated TuneCore’s panel, “Music Made Me Talk: How to Make It as an Independent Artist.” Featuring guest speakers and industry veterans Aina Brei’Yon, Rico Brooks, and Shah, this panel dove further into how to successfully navigate the music business as an indie artist.

During the next several weeks, we’ll be sharing the interviews and other content captured at A3C, both on this site as well as across our social channels. To help launch this upcoming series, enjoy the above video teaser and recap of our media partnership with TuneCore at A3C.
