Touring behind their sophomore full length Cosmic Wind, New York City duo Lion Babe (aka singer Jillian Hervey and producer/multi-instrumentalist Lucas Goodman) brought their eclectic mix of R&B, funk, pop, and soul to the Loft on Tuesday. Years of heavy touring and a myriad of festival performances has taught the pair how to draw in an audience and the dimly lit confines of the venue provided a suitable atmosphere for Lion Babe to work their magic. The end result was a captivating evening that veered evenly between moments of pleasantly chill restraint and jubilant dance floor revelry.
