After making waves in the city with their live music series, Red Bull Music is turning its attention to Atlanta’s vibrant ballroom underground and LGBTQ+ community. Half dance party, half ball, Red Bull Music Presents: ATL is Burning Ball will bring together an A-class list of ball culture personalities and performers to help celebrate the city’s active and fertile ballroom scene. Created in partnership with local collectives Morph and Southern Fried Queer Pride, the event goes down Nov. 9 at the Georgia Freight Depot.
Hosted by legendary ball MC Precious Ebony and featuring performances from iconic figures like Leiomy Maldonado, Dashaun Wesley, and Koppi Mizrahi, the evening promises to be one of the largest events of its kind in Atlanta with members from over 10 houses—including House of Mizrahi, House of Escada, and House of Ebony—scheduled to walk in 10+ categories. Kicking off the event and setting things in motion will be an eclectic dance party with music from Leikeli47, Cakes da Killa, Leonce, Divoli S’vere, JSPORT, Quest?onmarc, Ripparachie, and more. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door, and are available now via the Red Bull Music website.
