There’s an interesting type of weather lately. It’s not quite cold every day, but it’s not not cold, either. The transitional days of the season are giving way to what’s sure to be a tough winter. But it’s not all so bad. At least, it doesn’t have to be. You can still grab beers in the backyard or take in days that feel so relaxed they melt away.

If you need a soundtrack for that lazy afternoon feeling, look no further than Bathe Alone. The project was sparked into existence by songwriter Bailey Crone. Fans of Crone know that up till now it’s been mostly a studio project. However, as she gears up to release her next record, Fall With the Lights Down, in 2022, Crone is making some big moves. She’s put together a top-notch band to translate her songs to bigger stages.

With an otherworldly elliptical groove, “The Silence” (off her debut LP, Last Looks) is heartfelt, windswept, and ready for your autumn playlist. In this live video she is joined by a who’s who of Atlanta musicians, including Sydney Eloise, Andrew Barkau, Tim Holder (bandanna), and super-producer Damon Moon.

Shot by Nic Huey at Standard Electric Recorders Co., the video shows the natural chemistry between the bandmates. While Bath Alone’s music is still perfect for staring at the ceiling, “The Silence” proves that everything is better with friends.

Fall With the Lights Down will be released in 2022.
