On Thursday, June 15, the Mammal Gallery hosted an eclectic evening of music kicked off by Durham, NC’s Young Bull who brought their distinctively Southern blend of trap, funk, and old-school soul to South Broad. They were joined by Charlotte’s vaunted jazz and neo-soul quartet Blame the Youth, as well as Atlanta’s own NEWMONEY, whose full-length LP, Sequin Cowboy, is out at the end of this month. Rounding out the lineup were Athens psych rockers Wieuca and Krista Williamson’s solo project King Luka, both of which our photographer had to unfortunately miss due to a prior obligation. Still, there’s plenty of great shots here to take in from what proved to be another memorable night at the Mammal Gallery, so check them out below.
