Last Saturday night, Atlanta metal trio Palaces unleashed a maelström of dark, dissonant riffs and pulverizing rhythms upon 529, leaving everyone to wonder where the fuck the follow-up to their sinister 2012 debut, Tarnish, would be arriving. Let’s have it, boys, mmmkay? Joining them in the aural onslaught were wily math rockers Hello Cobra, Lazer/Wulf and Gaylord spinoff project Zrůda, and psych metal trio Spore Lord, who each brought their own unique brand of twisted, abstract riffage to the evening.
