Although their debut full length, Waste of Life, isn’t scheduled to drop until Feb. 5, grunge revivalists Flower decided to celebrate early by hosting a release show last Thursday at Mammal Gallery. But rather than just showing up, playing their set, and going home as most bands would do, the trio decided to do something a bit more inventive by transforming the venue into a prom complete with balloons, a disco ball, spiked punch, event photographers, and more. Birmingham psych rockers Future Primitives were there in support, as well as fellow locals Third Season and the Marrows, whose set we unfortunately missed. Also there was our man Bryceson Center who came away with the excellent pics below.
