Sunday’s A3C Festival with Nas began ominously with dark skies and rain. There were threats of stormy weather, but ultimately the skies held and the show went on.
With over thirty years in the game, Bronx legend and prolific rapper Kool Keith has built himself an enviable fanbase who arrived early to pack out the Spinrilla House.
Brooklyn stalwart Masta Ace got the heads bopping.
With the skies starting to clear, Chicago native and Chance the Rapper associate SABA got the party started on the main stage.
Taking a cue from Kap G, rapper Joyner Lucas left the stage and made his way into the audience, vibing with crowd.
The many faces of A3C.
Brooklyn rapper and longtime Nas partner-in-rhyme, AZ, brought his special brand of heat to the Spinrilla House.
Stic.man and M-1, aka New York legends Dead Prez, were as militant and confrontational as ever as the duo delivered a ferocious and fiery set.
When Ghostface Killah had to pull out of the festival due to illness, it seemed like A3C would lose much of its luster, but then Buckshot and Smif-N-Wessun got added to the lineup and all was right with the world. The Brooklyn crew even sweetened the pot by bringing in Junior M.A.F.I.A. rapper Lil’ Cease (pictured below).
Dave East repping Harlem on the main stage.
After weeks of buildup, the one and only Nasty Nas took the stage to close out A3C 2017 in prolific style.
