Curated by Deer Bear Wolf founder Davy Minor, Ohmpark Fest returns on Jan. 6 for another winter blowout celebrating Atlanta music. Named after Minor’s now-defunct music blog, the festival is entering its seventh year, which means it will officially surpass its namesake in terms of overall lifespan. Considering the local scene’s fickle nature and reputation for quick flameouts, that’s a fairly impressive feat in and of itself—and there are no signs of Ohmpark Fest slowing down anytime soon.
Leading 2018’s diverse bill are sun-baked rockers Shantih Shantih along with alt-rap squad Goldyard, dance-pop enthusiasts DOT.S, spectral pop quartet Karaoke, and host of other great acts. As in previous years, the lineup will be split between East Atlanta staples the EARL and 529 with a measly $10 granting you entry into both venues. Furthermore, according to the fest’s Facebook event page, set times will be staggered so fans will be able to take in as much of each artist’s performance as possible.
Ohmpark Fest 2018 goes down on Sat., Jan. 6 at the EARL and 529. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is $10. 21+ to enter.
