Boston-based Guerrilla Toss’ manic approach to songwriting translates to a chaotic, sometimes disorienting live show that’s every bit as enthralling as it is challenging. The band channels an offbeat funkiness that’s messy and visceral, and also more than a little weird in a way that’s strangely endearing. But even if the group’s caustic dance punk wasn’t such a devilishly wild ride worth getting down to, we would recommend this show based on the opening acts alone. If you’re any sort of fan of bleak post-punk and frayed noise rock exhortations you’ll want to make sure to arrive early so you don’t miss a moment of this acerbic lineup.
