Nowadays, stringing three or more quality songs and videos together and making it look easy can positively affect an artist’s trajectory quicker than a Drake stimulus package. The crazy thing is, if you listen closely, there is a snippet of an entirely different Childish Major in the waning seconds of the video in question. When does this man sleep?
The video takes place in two scenes. One scene takes place outdoors at the altar; another scene takes place indoors at the strip club. The clip toggles back and forth between the two locations, offering a visual blend that speaks to the song’s lyrical content. Flow-wise, Childish Major’s a professional when it comes to the first verse: “Why you always tryna fix me / You the Gemini two sides / Gotta leave yo side / Where key wait / Won’t tell a lie / Risky / Breaking down the truth to a lie / Now that’s tricky yeah / Breaking down yo body my style / Specially on a day like this / Hot like lava / Ain’t breaking down a man like this / If I let it slide then forever my problem.”
