Folk-soul artist Julianna Smaltz, aka Shebloom, is back with a new single and video. It’s a straightforward affair that puts her alluring vocals front and center. The Atlanta born and raised songwriter seems to have as great of a grasp on her voice as ever. Controlling her runs, she makes the track sound beautiful and effortless. Speaking on the song, Smaltz says, “‘Ancestry’ speaks to the 20-somethings of 2020: struggling to be independent, isolated by anxiety and depression, and just looking for acceptance by society—let alone, their parents.”
