Atlanta has long been home to some of the most provocative and entertaining artists in hip-hop. Today, these artists have more opportunities than ever to showcase their talents and influence the masses. In recognition of this, burgeoning streaming company Audiomack and Live Nation Urban have partnered for the newest installment of the global concert series, Hometown Heroes. Taking place this Thur., Dec. 12 at the Buckhead Theatre, the showcase will feature several of our city’s most promising artists, including Young Nudy, Lil Keed, Lil Gotit, Yung Mal, Mulatto, and DJ Marc B.
Launched over the summer, Hometown Heroes seeks to spotlight up-and-coming and established talent from a myriad of cities across the globe. Inspired by the Hometown Heroes playlist on Audiomack, the concerts are curated by local tastemakers who select developing artists most representative of the city’s sound.
Currently featuring over 19 major cities worldwide, the Hometown Heroes playlist remains one of Audiomack’s largest draws online. Jason Johnson, Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy at Audiomack, sees immense value in Atlanta’s music scene and is thrilled to be bringing the concert series to the city.
“We are beyond excited to end the year with our Hometown Heroes show in Atlanta,” Johnson says. “The Atlanta market is one of Audiomack’s largest markets and the Atlanta music scene [has] supported us from the very beginning. We are happy to provide a platform for these amazing emerging and established artists to perform in front of fans who have been supporting them from day one.”
Hometown Heroes featuring Young Nudy will take place on Thur., Dec. 12 at the Buckhead Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is $18-24.50. 18+ to enter.
