Punk stalwarts Turnstile have been called the saviors of hardcore and the shapers of its future, but the Baltimore five-piece seem far more intent on living in the moment and kicking out as many brazenly exuberant jams as they can. Touring behind their sophomore album Time & Space, the group’s first for major label Roadrunner Records, the band brought their youthful intensity and groove-heavy riffs to an enthusiastic audience at the Masquerade last Wednesday. Joining them in the mayhem were post-hardcore titans Touché Amoré, a headlining worthy band in their own right; youth crew foursome the Real Cost; Denton, Texas outfit Razorbumps; and San Francisco garage-punks Culture Abuse.
