Big Jesus have been putting some serious miles on their van in recent months. The surging rockers spent the second half of 2016 touring with everyone from Whores. to Good Charlotte (whose founders, Benji and Joel Madden, also manage the band) and hit the road again in both January and February. In fact, they’re out there right now en route to link up with Oregon stoner rockers Red Fang for a slew of West Coast shows and an appearance at SXSW.
Fittingly, “Always” drives with the purpose and enthusiasm of a band making some major moves. It actually channels kinetic energy so well I had to turn it off while sitting in traffic because it so clearly contrasted my current experience, turning my car into an oxymoronic nightmare. But when in motion, it’s an upbeat blast of a listen and the video, which was shot and edited by fellow Georgia native Jason Travis, captures the band’s travels in cinematic style. Give ‘er a watch.
