Despite his prodigious output, KeithCharles SpaceBar might be the most underrated artist on the Awful Records roster. Not only does the dude put in work in the studio and on the mic, but he manages to keep his portfolio unique, diverse, and interesting as evidenced by his latest single and video, “Chillin Killin.”

Directed by JMP, the video is short and sweet, clocking in at a scant 1:14, but it plays out like a horror movie parody. Ghost Face from the Scream franchise is thirsty for another victim, but very quickly he turns into that OTHER Ghost Face from Scary Movie (you know, the one made by the Wayans Brothers), and gets pampered with a nice exfoliating mask. What started as a possible slasher flick turns into a slumber party romp as he assists his victim with her toenail polish while sharing a bowl of popcorn. It’s a bit of a surreal head scratcher, but this is Awful Records, so what do you expect? Check it out above.
