If you haven’t heard of BOSCO & Speakerfoxxx by now then, honey, you are missing out. Over the past several months, the quirky power puff duo from Fools Gold Records have been putting out some of the best pop music in Atlanta—scratch that—IN THE WORLD, CRAIG! Seriously though, no hyperbole, these girls are great.
Earlier this year, the ladies dropped Girls in the Yard, a collaborative venture that pairs girl power anthems and the best party hits to dance the night away for the summer. The songs are everything you could wish for from such a dynamic pairing — pumped-up, hypnotic, and funky fresh, with no Ciara influences included.
Last week, BOSCO & Speakerfoxxx released the video for one of their hottest tracks, “Shooter.” The clip opens as a stuffy prep-style mixer over a game of croquet. But then the duo throw on their shades and fashionable Milli Vanilli fur coats to make a statement about combining forces and having fun. Although the music is upbeat ’90s style electronic and alternative house, there’s a festive ’70s atmosphere that adds an undertone of “Who the hell cares? Let’s party like it’s 1999!” Check it out above and feel your problems melt away in a vibrant sea of confetti, glitter, fur, LED lights, and random pool floaties.
