2015 was a busy year for Atlanta’s premier punk trio, but apart from the release of a 7″ split with the Black Lips, the Coathangers have labored in secret, prepping their fifth full-length while cloistered in Valentine Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California. On top of all this, the band maintained a rigorous tour schedule, traveling from the West Coast to Australia and Japan.

The trio breaks their silence in bombastic fashion with the sneering “Make it Right.” The track features drummer Stephanie Luke on lead vocals, and her smoky growl gives the track a gritty feel without any trace of sloppiness. On 2014’s Suck My Shirt, the Coathangers turned power pop into a science, and “Make it Right” is proof that the band has only sharpened their garage-honed edge. Listen below.

“Make it Right” is the first single from the Coathangers’ upcoming record, Nosebleed Weekend. The album is out on April 15 via Suicide Squeeze Records. Pre-orders are available here.
