Nathan Hardy is having himself one hell of a year. The frontman for the Atlanta-based quartet Microwave should be doing mental somersaults given the recent revelation that his band has signed with the well-established indie imprint SideOneDummy Records. His group’s blend of aggressive post-hardcore and more melodic rock stylings should find strong support on the label’s roster, which includes similarly-minded artists like Restorations and PUP.

But what makes 2015 such an incredible year for Hardy is that the news comes on the heels of the announcement that his other project, Blis., has signed with the much-adored L.A. label Sargent House. For a young musician looking to claim a stake in the music world that’s like striking gold twice in the span of a few months. It’s not exactly unheard of, but—holy shit—that’s an impressive run of good fortune.

Not ones to rest on their laurels, Microwave will play the inaugural Wrecking Ball ATL festival at the Masquerade on August 9, after which they’ll embark on a two-week tour in support of Orlando punks You Blew It! and Hartford, Connecticut’s Sorority Noise. Check out the list of dates below.
