College Park rapper George Ramirez, a.k.a. Kap G, dropped his latest mixtape, El Southside, yesterday, an 11-track scorcher that finds the young trap star in the making and Atlantic Records signee collaborating with industry giants Pharrell and Young Thug. Other guests include YFN Lucci, Ca$h Out, and Nechie.

On new single, “Girlfriend,” the Mexican-American artist reunites with Squat Beats, who produced Kap G’s 2014 cut “Fuck La Policia.” Together, the duo weave a familiar tale of smoking blunts and making moves on a pretty girl who seems more than eager to accept his advances. Problem is: she already has a man. Cue the drama. “All up in my business she’s been lurking,” Kap G slurs hazily over Squat Beats warm, crisp production, “I’ve been trying to tell her ‘bye, it ain’t workin.'” For a rapper known for playing to his Mexican heritage, the track comes off as a little cut and dry, but that shouldn’t stop anyone from bumping it in the whip. El Southside is available now for streaming or download.
