For the second episode of Immersive Sounds we did our best to highlight a broad spectrum of Atlanta artists and music. Leading the show is rapper, DJ and producer Obeah, who talks to us about signing a solo deal with SPITdigital, the label founded by the legendary Chuck D of Public Enemy. From there we take you out to the dark and sweaty confines of a house show where local punks Nurse discuss their goals and origin, as well as what makes their band click. Finally, we close the episode with a live-to-tape performance from indie rockers Coma Girls filmed at the Cottage. It’s only a small snapshot of what’s happening in the city, but hopefully it’s one that will convince you to dig in and explore deeper.
