In case you’ve been out of the country or are coming out of coma this morning, Bradford Cox took to the airwaves of Atlanta’s “Voice of the Arts” 1690 AM on Sunday night to, among other things, announce some much-anticipated details regarding a new record from a certain band he happens to front. Deerhunter’s seventh studio album, Fading Frontier, is the follow-up to 2013’s Monomania, and will be out Oct. 16 via the group’s longtime label 4AD. According to a press release, the nine-track album was produced by the band and Ben H. Allen III (who also helmed 2010’s Halcyon Digest), and features contributions from members of Broadcast and Sterolab. Pre-orders are available here.

In addition to the new album details, Cox also premiered the record’s first single, the funked-up and infectious “Snakeskin.” Not long after, the group shared the accompanying video, directed by Valentina Tapia. Watch below.
